If the answer is ‘yes’, then please join us for ‘Voice Notes’ – a writing, acting and technology project in Nottingham that celebrates your voice!

  • A space to have fun, learn new skills, practise your English and to share your story
  • Develop your creativity with award-winning writers, artists and actors
  • Contribute to an global exhibition held at ground-breaking, internationally recognised venues

Saturday 25 November (11am – 3.30pm) – New Art Exchange
Saturday 2 December (11am – 3.30pm) – Attenborough Nature Reserve*
Saturday 9 December (11am – 3.30pm) – New Art Exchange
* Transport will be provided

All languages, backgrounds and skills are welcome.
We are looking for young people with a passion for creativity!
No previous experience required – just a desire to share your story and learn new skills.
Workshops are free to attend and a hot lunch will be provided.

The project ‘Voice Notes’ is funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council. Led by poet Dr Sarah Jackson from Nottingham Trent University, in collaboration with sound artist Hardi Kurda and refugee arts charity Compass Collective, the project is delivered in partnership with Counterpoints Arts, New Art Exchange, Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature, Refugee Roots, Slemani UNESCO City of Literature and STEP.
