Hasnul Insani Djohar researches on Women’s Literature of the Ummah. As a Fulbright recipient, she completed her MA Degree in English from Central Michigan University, in 2013. She also completed her Ph.D. studies in English from the University of Exeter for an Indonesian Endowment in 2019. She is Head of Department and senior lecturer in English at Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in Indonesia.
